Purdue team puts Earhart on the moon with discovery of new crater
Purdue scientists have discovered a large, previously unknown lunar nearside crater revealed as part of NASA's Discovery Program, the Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory (GRAIL) Gradiometry. The team includes two professors and four students: Rohan Sood and Loic Chappaz are Ph.D. students under Professor Kathleen Howell in the School of AAE. Dave Blair is a Ph.D. student in EAPS; Colleen Milbury is a Post-doc in EAPS and they are working with Prof. Jay Melosh (EAPS and courtesy Prof. in AAE).
