Professor Emeritus George Palmer to be Honored by AAE

For well over 40 years, Prof. George Palmer worked tirelessly to design and create the wind tunnel program that Purdue is known for today. His efforts, along with his students and colleagues have positioned Purdue as one of the premier higher educational institutions in the world for wind tunnel testing. Professor Palmer impacted the lives of thousands of students during his tenure at Purdue with the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

honored George Palmer as the designer of The Boeing Wind Tunnel on
Friday, September 25th at the Aerospace Sciences Laboratory located at the Purdue Airport. Images from the event now included.

Purdue Libraries to Open Astronaut Exhibit

Mementos, artifacts and personal papers from Neil Armstrong, Eugene Cernan and other Purdue astronaut alumni will be on display until Oct. 30 as the university celebrates its rich space heritage and the 40th anniversary of the historic first walk on the moon.
