Prof. James Garrison has been appointed the editor-in-chief of IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Magazine. The publication informs readers of activities in the IEEE GRS Society, its technical committees and chapters.

Prof. Garrison, whose research interests lie in the development of new instruments, algorithms and missions for Earth remote sensing, utilizing Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and other "Signals of Opportunity" (SoOps), starts his term as editor-in-chief on Jan. 1.
