Introducing New Faculty Member - Dr. Dengfeng Sun

The School of Aeronautics and Astronautics welcomes new faculty member Dr. Dengfeng Sun. He joins the school as Assistant Professor in the Aerospace Systems and Dynamics & Control groups beginning in the fall of 2009.

The School of Aeronautics and Astronautics welcomes new faculty member Dr. Dengfeng Sun.  He joins the school as Assistant Professor in the Aerospace Systems and Dynamics & Control group beginning in the fall of 2009.

Dengfeng Sun received a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from University of California at Berkeley in 2008, a M.S. degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Ohio State University in 2002, and a B.S. degree in Precision Instruments and Mechanology from Tsinghua University (Beijing) in 2000. Dr. Sun's research areas include control and optimization, with an emphasis on applications in air traffic flow management, dynamic airspace configuration, and studies for the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen).
