ChE announces 2019-2020 undergraduate award recipients
Several Davidson School of Chemical Engineering undergraduate students were recently honored for their excellence in scholarship, leadership, research, and academic achievement in 2019-2020. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, face-to-face recognition was not possible when the awards were announced, and the School plans to have a more formal recognition at a later date.
Outstanding Sophomore Scholarship Award
The Outstanding Sophomore Scholarship Award recognizes an outstanding sophomore student on the basis of scholarship and in consideration of their accomplishments.

Outstanding Sophomore Leadership Award
The Outstanding Sophomore Leadership Award recognizes a sophomore student on the basis of their leadership and organizational involvement also taking into consideration technical and academic achievement.

The George T. Tsao Award recognizes a worthy junior on the basis of scholarship and in consideration of their accomplishments.

The Stephen Craig Award recognizes an outstanding junior on the basis of scholarship and in consideration of their accomplishments.

Centennial Scholarship
The Centennial Scholarship, which will help fund the student’s senior year in our School, recognizes an exceptional junior on the basis of scholarship and in consideration of their accomplishments.

The John Clarence Lottes Award recognizes an outstanding senior student.

Lindsay Anne Williams Award
The Lindsay Anne Williams Senior Leadership Award honors a senior student based on service to Purdue University, service to the community, character, and organizational involvement, also taking into consideration technical and academic achievement.

The Undergraduate Research Award recognizes outstanding students who have participated in chemical engineering research opportunities throughout their academic journey.

Gavin Sinclair Award
The Gavin Sinclair award is to recognize a senior student who has overcome adversity during their academic journey.
2020 Recipient: Cassidy Ryan
AIChE Award:
The American Institute of Chemical Engineers Award is given to a senior student based on his or her service to the department through AIChE.
2020 Recipient: Takashi Yokokura
Omega Chi Epsilon Award:
The Omega Chi Award was established in 1961 to recognize a senior student on the basis on scholarship, leadership, and character.

Marilyn Forney Trailblazer Award:
The Marilyn Forney Trailblazer award recognizes an outstanding female student whose impact has helped pave the way for women in the field of engineering. The award is based on contribution and participation in the Women in Engineering Program, Women in Chemical Engineering Seminar, and leadership and service efforts within these programs throughout their academic journey.

The Outstanding Teaching Assistant award recognizes teaching excellence in senior level courses as voted by the senior students.
