Dr. Michael Heinz (PI) and Dr. Afagh Farhadi (postdoctoral researcher) from the Heinz Lab recently attended the 2025 International Symposium on Hearing (ISH) in Vienna, Austria, a premier conference in auditory science. The meeting featured outstanding talks and posters focused on physiology, psychophysics, and computational modeling.
Two presentations from the Heinz Lab were featured: one on inner hair cell dysfunction and another on the role of the medial olivocochlear (MOC) system in modulation coding. These contributions reflected the lab’s ongoing efforts to link physiological and computational data across species and hearing loss models.
The conference also provided a great opportunity to connect with collaborators and colleagues from around the world. We’re already looking forward to the next ISH in Germany!
