Sprint Week at the Heinz Lab !

Author: Afagh Farhadi
Last week, we paused experiments to focus on something just as critical ; our team focused on key improvements to make the lab run more efficiently and our research more impactful

We accomplished key goals, including:

  • Upgraded and debugged parts of our data acquisition system to improve reliability and reduce downtime
  • Made major progress in organizing and documenting our data and code for future public release; contributing to a stronger culture of open, reproducible science in auditory neuroscience
  • Took steps toward standardizing our diagnostic battery and analysis code to support consistency across experiments and future collaborations
  • Reorganized lab spaces and digital systems to streamline daily workflows

We hit pause on data collection to focus on the infrastructure behind it: strengthening the systems, tools, and workflows that make high-quality research possible. These changes may be behind the scenes, but they’ll make a real difference in how we work and what we can share with the field.

Thanks to the Heinz Lab team for making it all happen!
