Purdue hypersonics team receives NASA grant

A Purdue team has received a $3.2 million grant from NASA's University Leadership Initiative to use optical and laser-based sensors to monitor the flow around the surfaces of hypersonic vehicles. The team includes Purdue ME professors Chris Goldenstein, Bob Lucht, and Terrence Meyer.

Sansit Patnaik wins battery housing design competition

Congratulations to Sansit Patnaik, who won a design competition in Germany by optimizing the battery housing for an electric car. Sansit, a PhD student under Fabio Semperlotti, collaborated remotely with friends at RWTH Aachen University in Germany.
