Finishing second and receiving $10,000 in the Black Division of the Annual Business Plan Competition at the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship was Atlas Energy Systems, spearheaded by Ian Hamilton (MSE), Joshua Auger, Kyle Pendergast and Kyle Harris.  Company founder, Ian Hamilton, states "Atlas Energy Systems, LLC is an energy research and developmental company focused on novel energy collection methods from nuclear materials. The current focus is an energy conversion device that harnesses radiation energy from decaying isotopes and outputs direct, usable power. The technology being developed has been verified through proof of concept and is currently in the prototyping stage."
