MSE undergraduate, Theresa Saenz, has been awarded one of three ASM Materials Education Foundation Outstanding Scholar Awards. This award provides $2,000 towards educational expenses for one year, and is awarded to an outstanding undergraduate student at the sophomore, junior or senior level who demonstrates exemplary academic and personal achievements, interest and potential in metallurgy or materials science and engineering. This award will be presented at the ASM Leadership Awards Luncheon as part of the Materials Science and Technology Conference (MS&T) in October 2015. In addition to the $2,000 award, this scholarship will also provide up to $500 in expense reimbursement for the conference.
