Smith began her journey with Women in Engineering in January 2025 as the assistant director responsible for K-10 outreach programs throughout the community. She graduated from Harrison High School in West Lafayette in 2010 and pursued a BS in Elementary Education from Indiana University and an MA in Educational Administration and Supervision from Ball State University. Prior to joining the WiE team, Smith was an elementary educator in the Greater Lafayette area and a high school girls’ golf coach. She enjoys planning engaging STEM curriculum and coordinates events for her outreach team of graduate and undergraduate students. Her passion always has been centered around student success in the fields of math and science.
