Swaminathan joined the WiE team as a graduate research assistant in Spring 2025. She holds a BS in aeronautical and astronautical engineering and a Cornerstone certificate from Purdue University. She is staying on at Purdue to pursue her MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics, for which her research focuses on damage modelling in composite parts. Her journey with WiE started during her undergraduate degree, during which she served as a Leadership Team member for the Mentees and Mentors (M&M) program and volunteered for WELink. She has also had two engineering internships with Southwest Airlines and Textron Aviation in maintenance reliability and structural repair support.
