Top students to be recognized during 2019 commencement

Purdue University will honor some of its highest academic-achieving graduating seniors May 10-12 during commencement ceremonies. Honorees include Chemical Engineering undergraduate student Christopher R. Schorr, of Liberty Township, Ohio. Schorr, who is also in the Honors College, received the Charles O. McGaughey Leadership Award for leadership potential on the basis of his contributions to Purdue and the community.

New fuel-related technologies to advance through private, public partnership

Swift Fuels, Purdue University, and the Purdue Research Foundation have entered into a collaborative research agreement to work to develop and commercialize new fuel-related technologies. The agreement calls for faculty and researchers at Purdue's Davidson School of Chemical Engineering to work with Swift Fuels on the technologies. Swift Fuels develops proprietary techniques to enhance the value of fuels, which it then licenses to industrial oil and gas companies.

Purdue Process Safety & Assurance Center to host 2019 Spring Conferences

The 2019 Purdue Process Safety & Assurance Center (P2SAC) Spring Conferences will be held on May 7-9 in West Lafayette on the Purdue University campus. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to learn about important process safety research in several areas of interest during the three-day event. Nearly 100 attendees have registered, a new record, from a diverse spectrum of industry and academia.
