Dr. Fabio Ribeiro selected to receive 2019 Giuseppe Parravano Award

Dr. Fabio Ribeiro, the R. Norris and Eleanor Shreve Professor of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University and Director of CISTAR, has been selected to receive the 2019 Giuseppe Parravano Memorial Award for Excellence in Catalysis Research. He will receive the award during the 40th annual Michigan Catalysis Society (MC-NACS) Spring Symposium to be held on May 7 at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.

The Army's selection of Adranos Inc. as the winner of its xTechSearch competition highlights the attention three companies emerging from PERC are receiving for their work in the defense industry.

ChE undergrads awarded six Co-Op scholarships

Davidson School of Chemical Engineering undergraduate students were recently awarded six Co-Op scholarships for 2018-2019, including five scholarships named for Purdue Chemical Engineering alumnus William Nelson (BSChE ’74, MSChE ’75) and his wife, Linda. The scholarships were presented on Wednesday, February 20 during the 2019 Professional Practice Days luncheon, in the Purdue Memorial Union.

Fueling the future: Tapping into 100-year supply of natural gas

A Purdue University research team led by Davidson School of Chemical Engineering Professor Jeffrey Miller has come up with a series of patented solutions to address challenges in United States energy production. The team developed a two-step process to convert shale natural gas to liquid fuels such as gasoline and diesel, which may help to drive down production costs.
