A team of Purdue University researchers has been awarded a $1 million W.M. Keck Foundation grant to create a material that forces electrons into rare states important to basic research and with potential applications for next generation quantum computing.

Carol Handwerker, a professor of materials engineering at Purdue University, is leading a project in which students and faculty will work together to make technology more sustainable. The project is funded by a $3.2 million grant from the National Science Foundation.
