Dr. Seungjin Kim Participates in the "Investing in Indiana - Clean Industries Summit"
Indiana is helping to lead the United States in the development of clean energy. On Tuesday, June 27th, the state of Indiana and Consensus Digital Media produced the “Investing in Indiana – Clean Industries Summit.” This event was created to celebrate private-sector investments and public partnerships that are creating well-paying next generation clear energy jobs throughout Indiana.
During this event, Dr. Seungjin Kim, Head of Purdue University’s School of Nuclear Engineering, participated in the “The Strategic View for the State: Building for the Long Term” panel discussion with Representative Todd Hudson, Speaker of the Indiana State House. In this conversation, Dr. Kim discussed the Purdue-Duke Energy joint study on SMR and how nuclear can make and impact to the State of Indiana in terms of decarbonizing the industry and bringing in opportunities for jobs and workforce development.
