On November 13th, 2023 the Purdue University School of Nuclear Engineering hosted a reception for students, alumni and friends, during the 2023 American Nuclear Society (ANS) Winter Conference and Expo.

Ms. Marion Williamson Blalock, a national leader who devoted over 30 years of her life to recruiting, retaining, and graduating underrepresented (URM) students in the College of Engineering officially retired, in August of 2008 and transitioned from her earthly life in September 2023.
