Biography

Patrick is a Boilermaker at heart and enjoys connecting with all different stakeholders engaging with OPP and Purdue. In his role, he manages the external relationships with industry partners seeking to connect, recruit and maintain a presence with OPP programming. Patrick is also an instructor for a number of courses OPP offers and works to blend industry into lectures to create a high-level of understanding for student early on in their professional journey. In addition, Patrick runs the Interns for Indiana program focusing on local startups and matching students to roles to support entrepreneurially- minded summer internships. In all aspects of his role, the one piece he loves the most is building partnerships with both students and employers to see the success and growth happen over time.

After spending a short stint in secondary education, Patrick joined Purdue with over a decade of industry experience working international staffing, campus recruitment, private event planning and running programming for a summer camp of 500 campers and 300 staff.

He has experience with professional development, industry engagement, and partnered with local communities on workforce development initiatives. Patrick holds a BA in Communication from Purdue where he was involved with American Advertising Federation and student advisor for the National Student Advertising Competition. In his free time, Patrick enjoys following Purdue sports, traveling, boating in the summer, listening to any genre of live music, and spending time with his dog, Gus.
