Sydney Parpart

Biography

Sydney is a junior majoring in biology with minors in German and chemistry. She is part of the Lilly Scholars at Purdue program and currently serves as a teaching assistant for OPP’s ENGR 103 course. She is excited to continue her involvement with the Lilly Scholars program and all of the opportunities it entails.

In the spring, Sydney was a manufacturing intern with Eli Lilly at the new gene therapy site in Lebanon, Indiana, with the Global Facilities Delivery Team. She worked on developing health, safety and environmental procedures to support the site's operational readiness.

Over the summer, she participated in a study abroad program in Stockholm, Copenhagen and Croatia, studying medical diagnostics and human health. She gained clinical skills while exploring healthcare systems and clinical practices.

Outside of school, Sydney enjoys knitting, working out, reading and cooking.
