Ethan Woods

Biography

Ethan is a senior in mechanical engineering and a member of the co-op program. He completed a six-month co-op with HNTB in Indianapolis and spent the summer as a product specification engineering intern with International. Ethan is a teaching assistant for OPP’s ENGR 103 and ENGR 396: Venture Meets Mission courses.

At HNTB, Ethan worked on freight and roadway planning projects, including the Conexus truck corridor initiative, and participated in EV infrastructure outreach. During his co-op, he also completed both NASA L'SPACE programs, gaining experience in systems engineering and mission concept development. At International, he focused on prompt engineering, AI integration and developing tools to automate and clean engineering feature data using Python and OpenAI APIs.

At Purdue, Ethan is involved in Run Club, Outing Club, Triathlon Club and PPA. Outside of school, he enjoys running, camping, watching and playing sports, and backpacking.
