Reva Amritkar

Biography

Reva is a junior in aeronautical and astronautical engineering at Purdue University. She is a teaching assistant for the Office of Professional Practice’s ENGR 103 course and has completed a three-term co-op experience.

Two of her rotations were as a product engineering co-op at Howmet Aerospace in La Porte, Indiana. There, Reva maintained the dimensionality of aircraft engine components in the investment casting process, optimizing production using Lean Six Sigma principles. Her most recent rotation was as a materials engineering intern at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, Connecticut, where she worked with the Fatigue and Fracture Mechanics group to automate simulations for titanium alloy crack life predictions using various El Haddad factors.

Outside of classes, Reva enjoys photography and music, from attending concerts to playing the cello.
