Riley Walker

Biography

Riley is a junior studying industrial engineering and is involved in the co-op program and Greek Life. Passionate about applying engineering principles to real-world challenges, Riley has completed multiple internships across both industry and government sectors.

Most recently, Riley served as an expansion and warehouse process co-op intern at Eli Lilly and Company, where she implemented a new logistics integration framework. This included configuring mission and location mapping for automated guided vehicles (AGVs), significantly enhancing warehouse efficiency and operations.

Riley also interned for two summers at Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center in the Undersea Sensors Division as a systems engineer. There, she supported the redesign of accelerated life testing tanks to improve reliability assessments of wet side cables and sensors. This effort contributed to better informed supply and maintenance planning for critical defense technologies.

On campus, Riley is a teaching assistant for OPP’s ENGR 103 course, where she mentors fellow students and helps them explore their own interests.

Outside of academics and work, Riley enjoys yoga, traveling, cooking and is always seeking out new experiences for personal and professional growth.
