Biography

Strickland serves as the Associate Director, Cooperative Education & Career Readiness. She has been working in higher education for 10-plus years and has a passion for student development. In this role, Strickland aids in recruitment and training of potential co-op students, development of new/enhancement of current co-op programs and improvement of OPP communication strategies. She works closely with academic co-op coordinators across eight colleges to increase student participation and enrich the co-op experience. Strickland has been involved as an advisor to student organizations and served as a faculty fellow. She spends time engaging in events with students, faculty and staff. She holds a BS in health and kinesiology from Purdue and an MA in sport management from Washington State University. She is a fluent Arabic speaker; her parents immigrated from Egypt in the 1980s. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her husband and sons.
