Professional Career 

Ron Klemencic is a graduate from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and Master’s degree in structural engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. In 1992 he started at Skilling Ward Magnusson Barkshire, now renamed Magnusson Klemencic Associates. Within six years he was elected President, and now currently serves as President, Chairman & CEO. Magnusson Klemencic Associates is an award-winning structural and civil engineering firm that has completed projects in 47 states and 54 countries.

Klemencic has received various recognitions throughout his career. He has been named Structural Engineer of the Year by Structural Design of Tall and Special Buildings Journal in 2008 and was awarded the Fazlur Khan Lifetime Achievement Medal by the Council on Tall Buildings in Urban Habitat in 2016. Additionally, his leadership in the collaborative design of tall buildings was recognized with the rare election of an engineer to Honorary Membership by the American Institute of Architects.

Co-op Alumnus

 Ron Klemencic completed a 5-Session co-op with Bechtel Power Corporation and since then has held various leadership positions. In 2013, he was named Purdue University Distinguished Engineering Alumnus.
