Professional Career 

Sarah Smith graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and received her MBA from Texas A&M. Upon graduation, she joined Halliburtion in the Supply Chain Management Program and then moved through a variety of roles before becoming Director of Manufacturing for Drill Bits and Services in 2010.

Smith is currently Halliburton’s Vice President of Health, Safety and Environment, Service Quality, and Continuous Improvement. In this role she sets an iterative, executable strategy for HSE/SQ and leads the identification and mitigation of top business and personnel risks for the company. As the functional leader she has steered the organization to historical best safety performance and significant service quality progress with a demonstrated double-digit improvement in Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) and Lost Time Incident Rate (LTIR) for four consecutive years.  

Co-op Alumnus

Sarah Smith Completed a 5-Session co-op with Procter and Gamble while attending Purdue University. Among her achievements, Smith graduated from Halliburton’s President’s Leadership Excellence Program in 2012.
